if you travelled at the speed of light you wouldn`t experience time - it would take you no time to travel anywhere. We only see the time it takes because we are looking from our perspective - but if we were the light or travelling at that speed = zero time

correction, its impossible to get to the end of the known universe at the speed of light, as the edge of the known universe expands at the speed of light in all directions, you need a superluminal device, not subluminal or luminal.

Because of Einstein's theory of relativity if we could travel at the speed of light space would be as thick as a sheet of paper in front of you and it would take no time to travel from one end of the universe to the other.

Please don't use the imperial system of measurement anymore. The world of science, as well as the rest of the world, uses the METRIC system. Even NASA has converted to the metric system. If we want Americans to be a little bit smarter, we need to do our part to ween them off the imperial system.

The closer you get to light speed, the less time you experience and the shorter a distance you experience. You may recall that these numbers begin to approach zero. According to relativity, mass can never move through the Universe at light speed. Mass will increase to infinity, and the amount of energy required to move it any faster will also be infinite. But for light itself, which is already moving at light speed… You guessed it, the photons reach zero distance and zero time. Photons can take hundreds of thousands of years to travel from the core of the Sun until they reach the surface and fly off into space. And yet, that final journey, that could take it billions of light years across space, was no different from jumping from atom to atom. --- Copy and pasted from a website not my work.......

You can travel at light speed or even faster if you figure out how. Time dilation wouldn't occur since that's not how time works. You are not going to increase in weight and expand at light speed since gravity is not autonomous and independent force. Weight depends on gravity and centrifugal force so no gravity or centrifugal force equals to zero weight. You wouldn't go back in time either if you went faster than light.

You are just referring to straight line distance from earth. If you will consider, for example other planets, are moving on their orbit which will require you to travel on an arc direction to compensate the moving target and reach it. This will surely adds distance and time. So yeah I bet those decimals on your time are wrong.

You actually can't go to the end of the universe even at light speed.. Cause our local galaxy cluster is gravitationally bound to us.. But other than that everything else in the universe aren't gravitationally bound.. So they are going apart from us, in some cases even faster than the speed of light.. So by the time we get there.. They'll no longer be there...

So when you're travelling at the speed of light, you won't be able to see anything or will see some unimaginable things , coz that's how it works, you're literally travelling the same speed as those particles which let you see things

No. If you move at the speed of light, you can't even do anything within the travelling period even you go to Andromeda galaxy. Because General Relativity kicks in and slows down your time relative the surrounding if you travel at relativistic speed. If you move exactly at the speed of light, your time virtually stops relative to the Earthling. So you can go even to the end of the Universe in a blink of your eyes if you travel at the speed of light. But for the Earthlings, you will travel for trillion years.

It won't be antimatter. That's just crazy. Artificial Gravity Well. Gravity effect is instantaneous. Light is inhibited by it's maximum speed. Non-terrestrials do NOT use antimatter. To begin with, as much energy that it can produce... it still is so inefficient that you would need to haul a load bigger than your ship just to get to Alpha Centary goin at light speed. Then, there is the EXTREME DANGER of that anitmatter. It doesn't just blow you up into smaller pieces should contact between matter and antimatter occur. Oh no. You actually disappear from this universe. Your very atoms are cancelled out as though they NEVER EXISTED. It's not the blast. In fact... antimatter can only cancel out an equal part of matter. No, not the blast. It's the reaction between matter and antimatter... EVRTYTHING within the reaction is gone... forever. Gravity Wells are what is being used by... many. It is also how they are able to move at such fast speeds in our atmosphere and not end up smashed like a bug on their own windshield. You control gravity... there are no limits as we know them. Ok. I feel better now that I finally said it. Mhmm. 😉

I really love thought experiments. I do believe one day a long time from now, man will figure out how to break the speed of light. Before you say noway nohow. It wasn't to long ago man didn't think flight was possible and to think we could break the speed barrier. Which man did do. My problem isn't getting to the speed of light, it's trying to stop!!! Say we go to the closest star, we would spend half the time at the speed of light and the other half trying to slow down. Awesome video guys. Love this

Great job! It is funny though how the video assume the traveler will have any time to spare while traveling at the speed of light :) Those times to travel are valid only from the Earth's perspective. From the traveler's perspective, once he/she will have 100% of this speed, will reach ANY destination in an instant, even as far as Adromeda. It will take 749 million years only from the Earth's perspective.
