The audio sucks. I know it. You know it. But luckily, it gets better. Please don't let it turn you away, as every episode starting with Back to the Future should be better than this weird low-pitched whisper. Thank you all for watching regardless!

Jeffery Jones and a device to teleport people, but accidentally brings an evil creature from another world instead? That's the plot to Howard the Duck! Lucas rips himself off!

This was a really cool ride, shame they took it down. I was 9 when I first rode it, back then it kinda freaked me out, but when I went back to Disney World a few years later, I really got into it. If Disney's excuse was that it was too frightening, personally I think that's really lame. Disney World's got tons of family friendly rides and an actual scary and one more scary one certainly didn't hurt. Plus its not like they didn't warn guests of what to expect (the thing was called Extra-TERROR-Restrial for crying out loud). As for the Jeffrey Jones thing, yeah that was unfortunate. Though honestly I think they could've gotten around that by re-filming the videos and re-recording his voice over dialogue (would've been cheaper than replacing the ride). Disney should SERIOUSLY consider bringing this ride back. It seems like most of the sets and mechanics are still in place with the Sitch ride and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the old animatronics are sitting in storage somewhere. Since nobody seems to like the Stitch all that much and they're only running it periodically now, no huge loss there. Obviously re-film some of the old ride queue videos (and recast Jones of course). It would be likely cheaper than building a whole new ride and I imagine it would re-attract a bunch of old fans who have been wanting to re-ride it since it closed. Plus then there's one more thrill ride for the older crowd.

This was my favorite ride in Magic Kingdom as a kid. Got to ride it in 1998 and 2001, when I went back in 2007 you can't imagine my disappointment when I learned it was some Lilo and Stitch crap.

would have liked this show instead of the stitch when I went as 13 year old back in 07, and as a huge Alien fan I would have loved this ride with a Xenomorph. I think the ride would go over a lot better today than it did 10+ years ago.

The cool thing is, recently in the new Guardians Mission Breakout ride in Disneyland, there's a reference to this ride. On the desk of The Collector, there's a paper that says the name of the company X-S that's from this exact ride. You can't really read much on it since it's covered by another paper, but it's interesting that a ride from Magic Kingdom Florida is referenced in California or the fact that it was even referenced at all due to the ride being closed down for so long! I wouldn't be surprised if the man eating Alien or Skippy, ends up in one the glass cases inside the Collectors collection area since you can see Figment inside one of them already.

I don't believe Jeffrey Jones' arrest had anything to do with the close. One, most people have no idea who he is. Two, most people would never even know that his him on the movie. And three, it wasn't like his name was being used or advertised to promote the attraction. I think that is a wild rumor at bet. More likely, Disney just got tired of the constant complaints from people who ignored the signs and decided to dumb down the show with a more kid-friendly and popular IP - Lilo & Stitch.

I actually rode this one when I was about 7 years old! My Dad and I stumbled upon it on while walking through Tomorrowland while my brother and Mom went back to the hotel. We met a young couple in line and sat with them on the ride and talked afterwards. I don't know why but that is a Disney memory that has stuck with me all of these years later.

The complaints about the ride are some of the things wrong with the US. 1. We didn't seem to take the hints from the title about how scary the ride was 2. We paid absolutely NO ATTENTION to the warning signs at the entrance that said the ride wasn't appropriate for kids 3. (Unrelated to the ride complaints) We replaced the semi-cool "drunk dads" for the annoying pre-teens on the ride promos Side note: I kept trying to figure out who the fuck Jeff Jones was until I saw the pic at the end. He was the nutso principal from Ferris Beuler

But..but...that's what makes it scary. Instead of the alien eating you..he's after your kids. Now that's scary. And another thing...what sick and or brain dead parents bring their kids to something that's damn scary..with numerous warnings given that it's scary?

Man. I remember when I experienced this attraction for the first time when I was about 7 and I cried so hard during and after the show in the exit hallway😂 It was just so real to me. Now that I'm in my twenties I wish I could experience it again. Sure it was a little "meh", but pretty great for those who were seeking something a little dark. I wish Disney would add more thrilling and suppose scary/dark attractions. I know I know Disney is family friendly and I could go to Universal for Halloween to experience thrills. But I dunno. It should have some more spooky stuff. Just sayin lol. Also awesome videos!! I hit subscribe so fast 😊 👍🏼

Apparently, in the original storyline that Lucas proposed, the alien turned out to be sentient--and defended the humans rather than menaced them. It was to be revealed that the alien was transported on purpose and that the audience had been tricked into being guinea pigs to see how the creature would respond to them. It responded, all right--by turning on the XS Tech staff and decimating them before freeing the audience. As the audience filed out, they would hear sound effects in the hallways suggesting that the alien was wreaking vengeance on the rest of the devious XS staff...

Good call on the changes to the preshow to make things more sinister: in the test run the SIR robot was voiced by Phil Hartman, and his transport mishaps with Skippy were much more about him bungling it and the results being played for laughs. Replacing Hartman's voice with Tim Curry's certainly had an immediate impact.

I remember going on the Stitch's Great Escape Attraction back in 2004 when it opened. I didn't hate it as everyone else claim it to be. But I never knew it was once a scary horrifying yet interesting thrill attraction back then. To be honest I would like to experience Alien Encounter back in the 90's. But since now it's no longer exist I'll might just experience on YouTube. Great video.

After binge watching many of your videos I'm starting to recognize Eisner's pattern. He gets really into the idea of a project even when (sometimes ESPECIALLY) it's a bad idea that nobody else is behind, when it gets tweaked by people who are trying to make it better he gets really petulant, throws a fit, and then completely loses interest in the project HE STARTED while everyone else finishes it for him. God no wonder people hate him.
